Lights, Camera, Action!

The Mercedes-Benz video channel launched with the (at the time) brand new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Saloon and Estate. The goal was to differentiate between two of the model lines each bodystyle was available in. I storyboarded and directed the shoot for the footage. We had a rekky day to see the vehicles and I used the opportunity to test shoot the angles and movements I had in my head. For the shoot we shot in airbase in East Anglia as the location helped to give the mood we wanted and had ample space to keep the vehicles at the centre of the action.

We custom built the whole platform, including a bespoke transcoding system to make sure the website videos was accessible across devices.Functionality also included the ability of having in-video CTA's. These were used to take users to the destinations such as the configurator to help them along the purchase funnel. The videos were broken in to chapters allowing the user to share specific sections across social.
